PORCELAIN ODM DEVELOPMENT
A direction to explore.
A collection to develop.
For brands that need a product starting point, ODM connects forms, colors and manufacturing review with a clear commercial brief.

WHAT YOUR BUYING TEAM NEEDS TO KNOW
Build a collection
with a clear direction.
01
Collection direction
Start with the intended customer, usage occasion, product family and visual references.
02
Customization scope
Discuss the form, glaze, decoration, packaging and the development work needed for your brand.
03
Production readiness
Evaluate the physical sample and manufacturing scope before confirming the collection for production.
01 / COLLECTION LANGUAGE
Find the form.
Build the family.
A coherent collection depends on more than a shared logo. Shape, scale, color and surface finish need to work across the selected pieces and their intended use.
The coffee collaborations in the profile show different directions, including matte color ranges, hand-painted finishes and special structures. They are project references to discuss, not an unrestricted catalog of designs.

02 / FINISH DEVELOPMENT
Color with purpose.
Detail with restraint.
A fired glaze needs to be evaluated on the actual ceramic body and form. Consider how the surface reads in daylight, how the rim feels and how the decoration relates to the product shape.
Review finish references through sampling, and confirm the chosen combination before expanding it across a range.
BUYER’S WORKING CHECKLIST
A brief with fewer unknowns.
| Decision | What to define | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Market | Customer, price positioning and usage occasion | Gives the development direction a commercial context. |
| Range | Required pieces, sizes and color variants | Defines the breadth of the collection. |
| Design rights | Ownership, permitted use and any exclusivity | Clarifies the rights associated with the chosen direction. |
| Finish | Glaze, decoration and physical references | Sets the visual target for development. |
| Rollout | Launch sequence and initial product priorities | Keeps sampling focused on the first release. |
FROM REVIEW TO RELEASE
A clear route to approval.
01
Brief
Describe the collection opportunity and the customer.
02
Explore
Review suitable product families and finish directions.
03
Develop
Refine the selected scope through physical sampling.
04
Approve
Confirm the product, rights, quantities and production requirements.
03 / ODM REMAINS THE CORE
A design route
with manufacturing behind it.
ODM is a complementary part of Daye’s offer. The manufacturing foundations remain the same: development, tooling, forming, finishing, inspection and preparation for delivery.
If you already have a complete design, the OEM route provides a more direct starting point for technical and production review.

PROCUREMENT QUESTIONS
The details worth asking.
Can we select an existing project design?
Discuss the available product directions and their usage rights with the team. Portfolio imagery does not grant rights to reproduce another brand’s design.
Can ODM include a new color collection?
Yes, a color-led brief can be reviewed. Physical glaze samples and the chosen product form are needed to define the final appearance.
Do you provide a fixed development price?
Development scope, tooling, number of variants and sample rounds affect pricing. Request a quotation based on the proposed collection.
What if we already have complete drawings?
Use the OEM project route and include the drawings, artwork and quantity plan for manufacturing review.
